'Art, the Architectonic and Future Works' is a chapter from Tom Beesley's forthcoming practice-based fine art PhD thesis, based at the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies at the University of Leeds.
Here, he explores the making and meaning of his three artworks, 'Future Primitive' (2016), 'Escape' (2016) and 'Beneath the Street, the Fertile Soil' (2016), all inspired by his engagement with the Future Works strand of the Stories of Change project.
Introducing the piece, Tom says:
'This chapter seeks to reflect on the conversations, proposals and ideas that occurred during that time, together with my own enquiries and research, by considering the development of each of the three exhibited art works in turn.'
Many thanks to Tom for sharing this forthcoming PhD thesis chapter with Future Works.
